Jung Lee is a preeminent wedding planner, and founder of full-service event firm Fête and luxury wedding registry Slowdance. She has been named best bridal planner by Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and has collaborated with Sarah Flint on a capsule of made-to-order wedding shoes.

A: Bold, resourceful, and fearless.
Q: What is one of your favorite things in the world?
A: Really good red wine, like a Cab or Bordeaux.
Q: What is your favorite city to travel to?
Q: What’s one song you know all the lyrics to?
A: “Eye of the Tiger” from Rocky.
Q: What’s your favorite type of flower?
A: Lily of the Valley.
Q: What is your favorite hostess gift to give?
A: If I bring flowers, I always gift them already arranged in a beautiful vase. I also love to give desserts in a pastry dome. I love Levain cookies, or, if I have time, I make my own sweets.
Q: Do you have a favorite comfort food?
A: Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), which is a Korean street food I ate growing up, or cacio e pepe (because who doesn’t love mac and cheese).
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received from your mom?
A: Since I was a child, my mom always said “Work hard, play hard!” She also said to try and experience everything.
